Online Interview Recorder

Status

Check bot-join and report state, or retry a failed join.

Requires MANAGE_LIVE_INTERVIEW.

query LiveInterviewStatus($liveInterviewSessionId: String!) {
  developerLiveInterviewStatus(liveInterviewSessionId: $liveInterviewSessionId) {
    liveInterviewSessionId
    status
    botJoinStatus
    reportId
    dashboardReportUrl
  }
}
  • status is the session's own lifecycle: SCHEDULED, BOT_JOINING, IN_PROGRESS, COMPLETED, FAILED, or CANCELED.
  • botJoinStatus tracks the bot itself: PENDING (not yet attempted or awaiting scheduledAt), JOINING, ADMITTED, DENIED (rejected by the meeting host/lobby), FAILED (registration or join error), IN_MEETING, or LEFT.
  • reportId and dashboardReportUrl are null until the transcript has been processed into a report. Once populated, dashboardReportUrl points at the same report view your team sees in the Scout Select dashboard - there's no separate developer-API query for report contents.

Retrying a failed join

If botJoinStatus is FAILED or DENIED (or registration never completed at all), retry with:

mutation RetryLiveInterviewBotJoin($liveInterviewSessionId: String!) {
  retryLiveInterviewBotJoin(liveInterviewSessionId: $liveInterviewSessionId) {
    liveInterviewSessionId
    status
    botJoinStatus
  }
}

This joins immediately (not at the original scheduledAt). It's rejected with FAILED_PRECONDITION if the bot has already successfully joined, is currently in the meeting, or the session has already completed - retrying a live or finished session is not allowed, since it would register a second bot against the same meeting.

Scout Select also automatically retries registrations that failed outright before the bot was ever created, on an hourly sweep, up to 3 attempts, before giving up and leaving the session FAILED - manual retry is for recovery beyond that, or for joining ad hoc after a kick/denial.
